Der zweite Sohn von Bob und Rita Marley veröffentlichte im 30. Todesjahr (2011) seines legendären Vaters ein Reggae-geschichtsträchtiges Konzeptalbum.

Nach seinem Grammy-gewinnenden Debütalbum und einem akustischen Zweitling erschien 2011 das dritte Studioalbum “Revelation Part 1: The Root Of Life” von Stephen Marley.

Auf der Leadsingle “Jah Army” sind Damian Marley und Buju Banton zu hören. “Revelation Part 1: The Root of Life” ist dem klassischen Roots Rock Reggae gewidmet und dabei Teil 1 eines konzipierten Zweiteilers, der mit einem Hip Hop- und Dancehall-lastigerem Folgealbum: “Revelation Part 2: The Fruit of Life” vervollständigt werden soll.

In seiner Karriere hat der 39jährige bisher 6 Grammys für seine Arbeit als Solokünstler, Produzent (seines Bruders Damian) und innerhalb diverser Marley-Familienprojekte gewonnen, davon einen (“Best Reggae Album”) für sein Debütalbum “Mind Control” von 2007. Auch das Folgealbum “Mind Control Acoustic” wurde für einen Grammy nominiert.
